This letter is in regards to letter my daughter Erika Hayes she just Gradurated on June 2, 2009 from Robinson High School with a 5.4 GPA dhe has 14 years Perfect Attendance she grew up most of her life in Rembrandt Public Housing until the age of 10. Many people said that she couldn't maintain and wouldn't maintain her grades due to peer pressures and outside influences and she never gave me a problem with the friends she choose. I didn't even know how to drive when she started school but I walked, took the bus until I learned how to drive and got a car. But I was determined not to allow her to listen to the negative things I always said listen to the Hero's and not the zero's in life meaning look at the choices the people made in their life and where they are and where they want to go if no where be polite and move on. Many days Erika stayed up all night doing homework until I felt sorry for her but she always said Don't worry Mom one it's going to pay off all my hard work and yours too. She wanted a job and her father and I kept saying no and her Grandmother took her to MacDonalds and she got the job on the spot at age 14. I immed went to the Manager and stated her age and what her schedule should be in order for her to take the job and that her grades must come first. Erika has show that it's not where you live it's how you live that makes the difference in life. Being a single Parent with a child in so many activities is hard but worth the challenge and believe it's still a challenge so my hat's off to her for 14 yrs. Perfect Attendance and the only time in her life that school attendance was a question was on 10/20/08. When Senator Obama came to Tampa and she wanted to go. And my answer was no he had his education and she was going to school. I assured her that he would be President and that she would be going to school and that I would bring back plenty of pictures and I did. I would like for the President to meet her since she felt like missed History in the making. I told it wasn't good enough to almost make it the Victory was in making it to the Finish and become President. Bucified Bert you are a positive Role Model and I would apprecitate if you would be our Guest on June 29th 2009 @ 2:00 p.m. at 601 E. Kennedy The School Superintendent will be giving the Award to Erika in her Office. . Thank You for all you do for the Community. |

First I had to play my part, once again for the All Children`s Hospital, yeah thas right, 3.7 millions plus, that is how much money, the 2009 Telethon made this year for the Miracles we are Building, for the Tampa Bay area KIDS, I been doing this for a long time with the Children`s Miracle Network and I love IT.... It started before my mother became my ANGEl....Some of the people below helped me with my Dream Seeker OLE IS ALIVE Program every year!!!

BK Jackson who played the Nation Anthem for the Rays during the American League Championship will arrive in limo via Skyline Limo Services wearing a tuxedo from Frank’s Formal Wear, along with Dance Sensational, Mr. Choreographer, to perform to music put together to honor my mother EMMA LEE The Legend. The Rhino Cube will make the music, lights, and presentation more vivid and make this Mothers Day event so very special!! Gary Baldassari, the event speaker, is an audio genius. He recorded and mixed live in Tampa, the Whitney Houston National Anthem from Super Bowl XXV which is now double Platinum! Chantelle Cloutier Editor and Chief of Bloomingdale High School’s Minotaur Yearbook, will be taking the photos for the program!

I when to this wonderful teacher school in 2008, to explained the Bucified Acronym during my 45 min presentation, after spending a day with the " AVID " Students, I gave them the Bucified Challenge... 41 Students PASS the almost 4 month Test, these 41 students, I call them " Dream Seeker, " little Positive Role Models in our community. Now I must Show them a wonderful TIME, because they deserve it... I must " Bring My A-GAME March 26,2009..Plus For My Mothers legacy, "OLE IS ALIVE. " The " Game Day Plan " Started when I received this email from Mrs. Jill Dahl in 2008..." Mr. Owens. I saw you this summer at the Mike Allstott football camp and was very impressed with how you interacted with all of the children. The 2008 season is over, it started out with a promise to my friend, at a high school football game, that I will take him to his first ever pro football game, and that is him on the right, and he really enjoyed himself! Oh yeah I was on the Field at the SUPERBOWL I made history... I delivered the newspaper HOT OFF THE PRESS, to the winning coach and his players, after the game, that was a great!!!

My Buccaneers Season is over, now I want to be the HOST that WELCOME the MOST with a GOLD SMILE for SUPER BOWL 43 to de seen on NBC!! I have to take this negative and turn it into a positive, because I have to be a positive role model regardless of how my season ended. I have a lot of students who expect me to rebound from these setbakcs. I will not let them down. It's all about the character my mother help me build, as I grew up. Now, possessing ethical and spiritual beliefs, I have to take actions consistent with those beliefs, my sense of responsibility as a citizen and the proud son of EMMA-LEE, The Legend a wonderful mother, who dominates my professional and personal life. So, I will loose 40 pounds by Mothers Day 2009, starting December 31, 2008. Must see photos of last Bucs game!

The 2008 High School Football Season is here and I plan to have some fun as you can see, If I am invited to your game I will try to come in my Bucified new outfit...I am so happy football is here, the Friday Night Lights can help me get ready for the Buccaneers... But last week, I was able to watch a game with some of my fans and one great friend, It really made my day... My Friend said he will go to a Buccaneers Game with me this season!! Bucs vs. Pat...This was a Pre Season Game Bucified Fans will never forget, why you ask? Look at the photo, I am at the game but not in my Bucified Outfit, I spent time at the game accomadating some of my scholarship recipients and their family and friends, plus I work with my co-workers in the club area, before the game.. This could not heppen on a real game day! but they are off to school and college this week, so why not show them, the Bucified motto in action, before a real game. after all I am trying to help Dream Seekers, get their dream with the help of people who support my mission!..

Well you know I love doing things in the community, yes that is Bucified in the Dunk Tank for the United Way kick off, and we raised a lot of money and yes I was knocked in the water, plus I loved working withe the North Tampa YA YA Girls, we helped in the community and made a great team!! you have to see the photos...The Bucs are getting ready to stard the 2008 football season off, and so I am I so stay tune...I have a little more work, with my Dream Seeker Students, then I will be ready for the season!

Up to 122 students will be awarded a total of $170,000 ranging in amounts from $250 to $3,500.

This weekend was all about getting in shape, with fans of Bucified, you can tell I had a great time... the fans on the right, the boy he ran the 15 k...get this just a little over an hour, and I am so happy he is one of my fans, and the little girl gave him a lot of support... and the photo on the left... this fan is also a great friend, she is a great person, she ran the biggest race they had....yep over 26 miles, I ran the smallest race 5k, but I broke a record... great weekend..OLE IS ALIVE!!
 
I had a great time at the Gasparilla Extravaganza 2008 with VIP`s at the parade, keep reading you will see why...I know my angel ( my mother ) is proud of the tv station WUFT- TV!! First of all I want everyone to know, I was behind the scenes at this 2007 Galaxy Pageant, and I saw, first hand, what goes on, I must tell you, I have a lot of respect for what the parents go through to get this kind of end results at a pageant, trust me when I say this, it is a lot of HARD WORK !! Miss Teen Florida asked me to wear a Purple Tux. that big pretty smile she gave me for honoring her request, made me feel like I really made her day, to see that smile, was priceless... She said, before the competition that it would bring her luck at the 2007 Galaxy International Pageant. Only for luck, plus it was the color of the Galaxy...I had to do my part along with everyone else, who wanted Amanda to WIN.... As a result, she brought the crown and the title of This Years Miss Teen Galaxy International 2007 / 2008, to the Tampa Bay area...And she did it at a five star hotel in Orlando called Caribe Royale...Congratulations Amanda Mason from Bucified Bert.... 24th Annual All Children`s Hospital Telethon, we had a number of new challenges this year but we figured out how to overcome them and still deliver...This was an amazing, I love working hard for our future ( the kids ) check out the behind the scens photos, and in case you didn`t know, last year we were #1 in the country-again- with number of pledges and money raised on the phone..the only pure measures of success for a telethon and I am so proud of the part I played in all of the millions we raised over the years... sincerely...Bucified Bert ...

Mothers Day week end 2007 for Bucified Bert, I thank God for the friends I met in Orlando at the Bucs Traning camp, the kid below on the left, won me a Turkey at a BMX race track in Sarasota Florida, November 2006, he is only 5, but he said in November that he would beat all the 5 year olds in the state of Florida, and become the state champ, on Mothers Day weekend, I went to West Palm Beach, Florida... and I seen him accomplish his mission, and the next day, at the Sunshine State BMX Association 2007 BMX awards Ceremony in Ft . Lauderdale, they awarded this kid with the State title, this made my Mothers Day week end, end on a happy note, So I went back to my mothers grave, and promis more scholarships for 2008, with my new Operation Legacy Emma Lee outfit, now I have to go to work and make it happen, sincerely Bucified Bert, you must see the photos, from my Mothers Day Week End, and remember...OLE IS ALIVE!

Draft Day Dash 2007 five kilometers, this is race number 5 for me, I started in front and ended up at...well lets just say I finshed the race, I love during this race because the race finishes by running through the same stadium tunnel the players use on game day, and you stop on the fifty yard line...and the money raised goes to bay area charitys in our community...Now I am ready for the Draft Day party and also ready to give out my scholarship, that honors my mother, getting very close, I can`t hardly wait!! This was a great weekend I painted a house with a hard working young lady that was crowned " Miss Teen Florida " recently, for the annual " Paint Your Heart Out " event.... after that I played softball with my coworkers for a good cause against the visually challenged, and we got beat 5 to 1,,,you must see the photos!!
 
2nd annual Jessica Lunsford Run, Bucified Bert is there to support her Father Mark Lunsford, the event is call ..The Run For Innocence, and is put on by the K.I.D. S. foundationIt to helps children in crisis....I was just being Bucified, and I met some new friends, and were nice to me, and they acted very like friendly indiviuals....But, you must see the photos, and remember OLE IS Alive....Operation Legacy Emma-Lee...Is why I do what I do!!!
 
This week was a difficult time filled with sympathy and concern for my co-worker and his family...His suicide is as incomprehensible as it is tragic...I am doing the best I can with the unenviable task of continuing my work for my Bucified Bert Dream Seeker program, that honors my mother at a time like this, but I must go on for the people who need to see me as a positive role model, during these trying times...I lean on the teaching I received from my mother, before she became my angel!! sincerely...Bucified Bert...Ole Is Alive!!...Operation Legacy Emma-Lee!!! you must see the photos..
 
I just want you all to see just how busy I am, first photo on the left...I was a Judge for Chili contest, with my co worker Steve Otto...second photo, I was enjoying my friend`s wedding, third at the Air Show at MacDill Air Force Base...helping the paralyzed veterans raise money....But I love it when I am called upon to be Bucified Bert, for any occasion, and I really enjoy myself... the last photo I was a judge for the City Of Tampa, I teamed up with AllSports Community Center, and Hillsborough County School District Staff...We picked out a design for the Tee shirts to be worn on May 5, 2007 for an event called " Clean City DAY ", it is part of the nations` largest community improvement program...you must see all the wonderful photos...I am Just trying to have a positive impact on our community and keep my mother`s legacy alive... Oh yeah...OLE IS ALIVE, and the scholarship honoring my mother starts Mothers Day Week 2007!!!! you know by now, that...she is my ANGEL...This is what OLE stands for... Operation Legacy EMMA- Lee.....NOW, Who will be the first recipient?? I can`t wait, because I will make that blessed person very happy, and that person parents or parent will be excited also!!!

The Gasparilla Distance Classic 30th Run was very special to me because of these friends, I picked 2 guys in the race I felt I could train, to run fast like, and they thanked me,... With my new Boston Bill Sunglasses, and a new class of potent anti-oxidants Juice called Xango, I think I came in the top ten....This years race the weather was cold, but being Bucified Bert.... I can`t complaint...I had my new "OLE IS ALIVE FLAG" flying.... I really enjoyed this day ...But I can`t hardly wait... to give out my Dream Seeker Scholarship that honors my mother this year during Mother`s Day Week!! The Illuminated Knight Parade was wonderful...my float was in front of Hillsborough High Marching Band, and they rocked from the start... to the end, I have some great shots...check out my photos....Plant State Champs, Q B and Head Coach was on the Buccaneers Float, how cool was that...
